Kia Has Launched Cars Like The WagonR, With Many Advanced Features; It Will Run On Both Gas And Batteries

Kia Motors, which has strengthened its roots in the Indian auto market, has launched the updated 2023 Kia Ray Facelift. Many new features have been added to the new model. However, this car has been launched in the South Korean market. This car was first launched by Kia in 2011. It is jointly developed by Kia and Hyundai. Both the companies have launched Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10 and Casper. It is available in both ICE and EV versions. The company sells all models in its home market, South Korea. The Ray facelift model is expected to compete directly with the Suzuki WagonR in the Korean market.

The elements that have been changed include an updated grille, vertically placed headlamp unit, C-shaped DRLs, new Kia logo, sharp bumpers and metallic-shaded skid plates. However, the side profile looks very similar to the outgoing model.

>> The sliding rear door will continue on the right side of the Kia Ray 2023 facelift. It can also be used as a cargo vehicle with passengers. The vehicle is designed to be used as cargo when needed. >> Talking about the rear of the Kia Ray facelift, it gets refreshed tail lamps with updated connected profile, redesigned tailgate, smaller reflectors and a new diffuser-style element. The new model features a fully digital instrument panel. The current model gets a semi-digital instrument panel.

>> Some minor changes are also seen in its furnishings. Other features of Kia Ray include 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, heated front-rear seats, full auto air conditioning and electronic room mirrors with Hi-Pass automatic payment system.

Kia Ray 2023 Facelift Specifications The Kia Ray ICE variant is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol motor that produces 76 PS of peak power at 6,200 rpm and 95 Nm of peak torque at 3,750 rpm. It is mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Combined fuel economy (city + highway) is 13km/l with 14-inch wheels and 12.7km/l with 15-inch wheels. The Ray EV variant has a 67hp single electric motor powered by a 16.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It has a certified range of 138 km.

Safety Features of Kia Ray 2023 Facelift In terms of safety, the Kia Ray gets forward collision avoidance assist, lane departure prevention assist, driver attention alert, ramp anti-skid device and straight-line braking anti-skid system. However, all these features are available in the current model as well. A major price hike is unlikely for the 2023 Kia Ray facelift. The starting ex-showroom price of the current model is Rs 8.28 lakh in Indian currency. It will compete with the 2023 WagonR.
