Ford made the best decision it could have made when it decided to bring back the Bronco name. The compact off-road SUV instantly made an impression and put competitors in a lot of trouble. But, at the same time, it’s hard to overlook how modern the new Bronco is compared to the original 1966 Bronco. It seems that Ford feels the same, as while customers are still waiting for their first orders, the company announced the special Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage and Heritage Limited editions. There will only be 1966 units built - as a tribute to the year the original Bronco debuted.

The new Heritage Edition will be offered for both Bronco and Bronco Sport models, in both two- and four-door configurations. All models will be distinguished by a two-tone paint job that will combine the main body finish with signature Oxford White accents. The special edition will be offered with a unique Oxford White grille with contrasting Race Red "F-O-R-D" lettering. The models will ride on 17-inch aluminum heritage wheels painted in Oxford White.

The Bronco Heritage Edition will be offered with your choice of five paint options, while the Bronco Heritage Limited Edition will be offered exclusively in Robin’s Egg Blue finish - a color based on the classic Arcadian Blue. Starting in 2023, Ford will also offer a Yellowstone Metallic finish based on the 1971 Ford color Prairie Yellow. In 2024, Ford will also offer a special Peak Blue finish.

For the interior, the Heritage Edition will have plaid cloth seats, Oxford White accents on the instrument panel, special badges on the center console, and exclusive front and rear floor liners.

The Bronco Heritage Edition is offered with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers a total of 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a standard 7-speed manual, while a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission will be offered as an option.

The Bronco Heritage Limited Edition is powered by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that delivers a total of 330 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Just like with the standard model, the engine is mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the Bronco Heritage Limited Edition comes with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers a total of 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Power will be sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. All models will be offered with an advanced 4x4 system with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock and the G.O.A.T. Modes system.

The 2023 Bronco Sport Heritage and Heritage Limited edition are now available to order. Prices will start from $34,245 for the Bronco Sport Heritage Edition and from $44,655 for the Bronco Sport Heritage Limited. On the other hand, prices for the Bronco Heritage will start from $44,305 and Heritage Limited will be priced at $66,895.
