A luxurious Camberwell house boasting a revolving vehicle turntable in the four-car basement garage is turning buyers’ heads.

Constructed 18 months ago for a developer and builder, the three-level home at 4 Amelia St is for sale via expressions of interest with $3.5m-$3.8m price hopes.

A lift and stairs provide access to all levels including the basement featuring a wine storage area, a home theatre and recreation space.

Marshall White Stonnington agent Jesse Matthews said the remote-operated turntable meant drivers could automatically rotate their vehicle to face the driveway when they wanted to leave.

“They’re (vehicle turntables) not that common and it’s such a great way to allow better access in and out of the garage interior,” Mr Matthews said.

Several buyers, including Australians living overseas, have inquired about the property.

“I’m showing a buyer who is coming from Singapore through next week,” Mr Matthews added.

He said the “very sophisticated town residence” could potentially be used as a

“high-end lock up and leave”.

“Younger families also want that luxury, low-maintenance living, families with mature-age children doing their VCE and at university have been interested and so have couples,” he added.

The stylish home has a built-in bar in the dining room and a kitchen containing a 3m-long marble bench, three Miele ovens, two dishwashers and butler’s pantry.

“The front door was customised from a single slab of cedar from South Australia,” Mr Matthews said.

The main bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite is located downstairs while upstairs contains a dedicated study alcove and marble-fitted ensuites in the three other bedrooms.

Outdoors, the Bayley Ward Architects-designed property includes a barbecue, Travertine paving and solar-heated glass mosaic tiled pool in the north-facing landscaped gardens.

The home’s other features comprise solar panels, a Tesla battery, automatic blinds and double glazing.

Expressions of interest close 6pm on August 9.
