The following items were taken from area police reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Tools were reported stolen May 1 from the garage of a home in the 800 block of South Elmwood Avenue. Entry was gained when someone broke into the victim’s Subaru and took the garage door opener. Estimated loss was $1,600.

Several tool sets and saws were reported stolen April 29 when someone gained entry to the unlocked side service door of a garage in the 1100 block of South Harvey Avenue and took the items. Estimated loss was $630.

A bicycle, two children’s bags, a pair of dance shoes and the garage door opener were reported stolen May 4 from an unlocked 2012 Honda Pilot parked in the 900 block of Mapleton Avenue. Estimated loss was $70.

A work identification card on April 29 was reported stolen from a Toyota RAV4 parked in the rear of a home of the 700 block of North Cuyler Avenue. Someone gained entry by breaking the driver’s side window with a pry tool. Estimated loss was $330.

A tote bag containing school supplies was reported stolen May 4 when someone shattered the front driver’s side window of a 2010 Jeep Laredo and took the item. Estimated loss was $1,000.

A garage door opener was reported stolen April 29 when someone smashed the front driver’s side window and gained entry to a 2019 Honda CRV parked in the 900 block of North Kenilworth Avenue.

Jewelry and a lock box containing over-the-counter medications on May 4 were reported stolen from the ransacked second floor master bedroom of a home in the 800 block of South Cuyler Avenue and a lock box containing hard drives, expired US passports and photographs was stolen from the attic. Entry was gained through an unlocked window next to the interior door. Estimated loss was $2,130.

Two Apple laptops, a Sony PS5, four pairs of shoes and three bottles of Chanel perfume on April 27 were reported stolen from a residence in the 6600 block of North Avenue. Entry was gained through the back door; the bedroom was ransacked during the break-in. Estimated loss was $8,500.

The driver’s side window of a 2010 Toyota Corolla parked in the rear of a home in the 700 block of Kenilworth Avenue on April 29 was reported broken. Estimated loss was $200.

A 2006 Toyota Camry, unlocked and running with the keys in the ignition, was reported stolen May 4 from the 1100 block of Lake Street. Estimated loss was $2,000.

A wallet was reported stolen May 3 from inside the office desk of an employee at West Suburban Hospital, 3 Erie Ct. Estimated loss was $380.

An unlocked and running Toyota Prius, with the keys in the ignition, was reported stolen May 3 from the 1100 block of Westgate Street. Estimated loss was $20,000.

An iPhone 13 was taken May 2 from the bar area of TGI Friday’s, 401 N. Harlem Ave. Estimated loss was $1,400.

An unlocked and running 2019 Mazda CX3 was reported stolen May 1 from the 900 block of Lake Street. Estimated loss was $21,000.

A package on April 30 was reported stolen from the mailbox of a resident in the 400 block of South Maple Avenue. Estimated loss was $45.

A package containing various clothing items was reported stolen April 28 from the front porch of a home in the 800 block of Wenonah Avenue. Estimated loss was $900.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen May 3 from a 2005 Lexus parked in the rear of a home in the 1100 block of South Lombard Avenue. Estimated loss was $1,000.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen April 30 from a 2021 Isuzu NQR parked in the 7000 block of North Avenue. Estimated loss was $500.
