At around 5 a.m. on Thursday, Terrell Hills police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Wurzbach Road and found Longoria dead from a gunshot wound to the chest, an affidavit supporting Nealy's arrest said.

Two witnesses said they had been drinking and hanging out with Longoria before returning to the residence on Wurzbach, where Nealy was already present.

One of the witnesses said they later heard a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot and then heard Longoria say "that hurt" before falling to the ground, the affidavit said. The witness called 911 while Nealy and the second witness remained inside the home.

The second witness told police that Nealy said she was "playing" with a semi-automatic pistol when it fired a round, traveling through a partition and hitting Longoria, the affidavit said. The witness said Nealy had a "look of surprise on her face" after the gun went off.

Nealy was in the house when responding officers arrived, but escaped out of a back sliding glass door before she was detained for questioning, the affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, she messaged one of the witnesses on Facebook, apologizing for the incident and calling it an accident.

Nealy's bail was set at $250,000.
